Freelancing.It seems like the dream career, right? No boss, no fixed office hours, and working from any place of your choice. Well…while part of that is true, there’s more to the story. Like anything in life, freelancing has its own ups and downs.
We are living in a world where dynamism is the defining feature, which is particularly true given the COVID19 outbreak, which poses great challenge to both personal and professional success. Some have lost their jobs, others have chosen to leave their job to start a new one, still others are entertaining thoughts about working for themselves, or working for one different client at a time, or what we call, working freelance.
There are many luxuries that a freelancer can enjoy, like the flexibility of choice when it comes to whom or what projects to work for, the ability to control your lifestyle as well as the power to say No. Freelancing also comes with its drawbacks to be considered seriously, like the instability of cash flow, difficulty in maintaining long-term and trustworthy business relationships, more fierce competition and greater demand for innovative solutions.
Some people just prefer the stability and security that a regular job provides. Others prefer the flexibility and lifestyle that freelancing offers. But wouldn't it be a great idea to combine the two?

About the Club 关于清晖俱乐部
Changeway Bilingual Toastmasters Club was founded in September 2017 with a vision to provide a platform for practicing both communication skills and leadership skills for members of the project management community and beyond. We are committed to a mission of Service, Unity and Value in helping club members pursue excellence on and off stage. As a bilingual club, we deliver on our vision and mission through weekly meetings alternating between the Chinese and English languages featuring impromptu speeches known as table topics, prepared speeches, effective evaluation and feedback. In addition, all members benefit from the unique learning experience under the Toastmasters' Pathways education system.
清晖双语演讲俱乐部成立于2017年9月，俱乐部依靠项目管理咨询界的标杆—上海清晖管理咨询有限公司，奠定以项目管理为特色，吸引着众多项目经理们前来交流。我们经常邀请各行各业的资深项目经理、商务人士来分享职业经验。大家可以在这里尽情交流思想，认识并结交各行各业的职业人士，拓展思维与人脉。在我们每周四的例会上，我们通过即兴演讲环节、备稿演讲环节和头马特色的评估反馈环节，帮助我们会员在舞台上不断精进。在头马特有的Pathways教育体系下，我们的会员不懈挑战演讲项目，向自信和成功迈进！
